Indeed.com has a job trend tool that will help. I typed "blogger" into the tool. As you can see below, I would have gotten no love the summer of '05. Fast forward several years and you can see that my options for getting paid to blog are much greater. Sigh, if I only used the Monetize tab in my Blogger template. Never!
